Newcastle United defender Davide Santon insists they still have plenty to play for.

With 18 Premier League games to go Santon feels that United can climb the table and improve on their 10th position.

Santon told the Evening Chronicle: "We are out of the FA Cup but we have first make sure we get 40 points as soon as possible. Then afterwards think even more can be picked up.

"We're thinking about more than just staying in the Premier League. We have Chelsea next and that's another tough game.

"We have to make sure we do our best there and then think about Southampton back at home."
