Newcastle United fullback Davide Santon has explained why England already feels like home.

Santon signed for Newcastle last summer from Inter Milan.

He told Calciomercato.com: "The only thing I miss is the food of Italy. For the rest I do not miss anything. Since I started playing, Alan Pardew has continued to select me.

"Playing here everyone appreciates me, despite being young I feel up the confidence of all in me.

"Also I found love here: I am engaged to an English girl who loves me and is not looking for fame."
