Santiago Wanderers of Chile are aiming to strengthen ties with Chelsea.

Chelsea's South American scout Jorge Alvial is a regular visitor to Wanderers' HQ and the two clubs are now discussing a collaboration.

Santiago chief Ignacio Eguiguren revealed: "People outside of Chile are now recognising the good work Santiago Wanderers are doing.

"The idea is to strengthen ties (with Chelsea) and explore the possibility that a player is coached there, and to give the opportunity to young players to train there as part of their football education."
