Santi Cazorla has handed Arsenal fans a boost after a fresh round of surgery.

He has been sidelined since mid-October with inflammation around his achilles and went under the knife today in a bid to cure the problem.

In a message to fans on Twitter, he said: "Surgery done! Looking forward to be with you at #emiratesstadium."

Cazorla visited a specialist on the continent last week, who advised him to have an op.

Arsene Wenger agreed to the plan and revealed that Cazorla would miss at least two months.
