Santalab nets again for Chengdu Blades

Brendon Santalab has made it two from two for his new club Chengdu Blades. The former Sydney FC striker again netted for the Blades in their Chinese Super League clash, this time a 2-2 draw against Beijing Guoan.

Brazilian midfielder Agnaldo opened up the scoring for the visitors in the 14th minute at Beijing's Workers Stadium before Santalab made it 2-0 ten minutes before the break.

It seemed as though the visitors were going to cruise to a victory but Santalab's former A-League rival, Joel Griffiths and his brother Ryan saved Guoan with goals in the final twenty minutes.

Ryan netted in the 712st minute before Joel managed an equaliser with two minutes remaining.

Beijing remain 2nd on the table whilst Chengdu fell to 14th.
