Roque Santa Cruz has no doubts about the ambitions of Blackburn Rovers' new owners.

The Manchester City striker has returned to Ewood Park in a loan deal.

He said: "At the time, it was clear Ronaldinho was going back to Brazil so it was a bit surprising.

"But if that kind of player is being linked with the club it says a lot about what kind of club the owners want to create. More will become clear in the next few months but for now the important thing is to get some points and make sure we stay in the Premier League, then see who comes in the summer."
