Yaya Sanogo will join Arsenal as a world champion after helping France win the U20 World Cup.
France won the Under 20s World Cup for the first time after winning the penalty shootout 4-1 following a 0-0 draw with Uruguay after extra time.
France goalkeeper Alphonse Areola saved Uruguay's first two penalties - from Emiliano Valazquez and Giorgian De Arrascatea - before Dimitri Foulquier converted the fourth for France, giving the Europeans an insurmountable lead.
Arsenal's new signing, 20-year-old striker Yaya Sanogo, started for France, while Manchester United's new full back Guillermo Varela came on for Uruguay.
