Sandro expects Tottenham to dump Sherwood

Sandro expects Tottenham to axe manager Tim Sherwood at the end of the season. The Brazilian midfielder has had a rocky relationship with the current head coach.

Quoted by a media outlet in his home country, Sandro also said he was flattered to be linked with a move to Sao Paulo but that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would make it difficult for the 25-year-old to leave White Hart Lane.

Sandro said: "He [Sherwood] will leave at the end of the season. Then, new coach, new everything.

"I don't know anything about it yet but I'm happy to have my name linked to a club the size of Sao Paulo but it would be very difficult to leave Tottenham on loan. If I were to leave, it would have to be on a permanent transfer and that is not close. Other teams have shown an interest but they have offered little money.

"Daniel Levy negotiates the whole market, he holds conversations. Look at what happened with Gareth Bale [who left to join Real Madrid last summer after protracted talks]. It is not easy."
