Sandro is excited to be launching a new stage in his career at Everton.
Sandro made just 17 appearances for Barcelona, so when the chance to move to Malaga came last year he took it – signing a contract which included a cut-price release clause that Everton have triggered.
He said: “I did have the chance to line up against some top players at Barcelona, but as a kid you want to be playing games.
“You don't have that chance regularly at Barcelona so Malaga came along and that was important in my development. But when a big club like Everton – a club with so much history – come knocking at the door it was another move in the right direction.
“There was interest from a few clubs, but as soon as I heard of Everton's interest I didn't have to give it much thought."
