Sandro, 20, has agreed to move to White Hart Lane but his club Internacional want to keep him until they finish their Copa Libertadores campaign which is South America’s equivalent of the Champions League.
Sandro said: “I want my future resolved as quickly as possible so that I can look forward to the next phase of my career. But I am ready mentally for a move to England and that would be a dream.
“I am motivated because English football is competitive, I am excited by the challenge and to play in some great stadiums is brilliant for any player.
“But I am happy to stay and finish my job here first and then work hard and develop in a new challenge under a new coach.”
