Sanchez insists no extra pressure over £25M Fulham spending

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez insists he doesn't feel pressure after dropping into the bottom three.

Sanchez spent over £25 million in the summer, but his Fulham team were undone by a superior Portsmouth yesterday.

"There is pressure on every manager," he said. "The investment is long-term. If we are in the bottom three in the last third of the season, then you are under real pressure. We've had a series of hard games and we have been in every one of them until the second half today. Now we have games that we expect to win, and must win, against Derby, Sunderland and Reading."
