Lawrie Sanchez says Fulham would already be in the Championship if he hadn't taken over last season.
"I kept them up and everyone at the club agreed we needed a complete overhaul of the playing staff in the summer. So we signed 15 players and sold 12. I spent £26million but recouped £14m.
"It was always going to take time for things to settle down. If they'd told me I only had until Christmas to sort it out, I probably wouldn't have made so many changes.
"People throw the signings of Diomansy Kamara and Steve Davis at me. But Davis is about to win four medals at Rangers and without Kamara's two goals at Man City, Fulham would already be down."
