Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez has reviewed his summer's team strengthening.

Sanchez admits he lost a lot of Premiership experience during the close-season market and believes it will take time for his new arrivals to find consistency.

"There were players that had perhaps given their best days and needed a fresh challenge and then there were players, for whatever reason, that wanted to move on," he told fulhamfc.com. "With all those things taken into consideration, and time will either prove me right or wrong, I believed that a major overhaul was needed.

"With the money we had available we have brought the age of the squad down, and brought in players that want to prove themselves at Premier League level."

He also revealed: "One thing that has worked against us in the re-structuring of the squad, is that we've lost a little bit of experience of the Premier League.

"Davis is in his second full season, Healy and Baird are new to it, and it will take time to learn, but once they have learnt they will take this club on.

"But as we have found, the Premier League isn't a very forgiving place to learn. Any mistake you make is magnified."

"I think we have a better balanced squad when everyone is fit; left-sided players playing on the left, a good selection of forwards… We've got an awful lot of things that I want, not everything I want, but a lot," said Sanchez.

"We only had two left-footers last season, Carlos and Queudrue. We had Davies playing on the left wing and he was half the player he can be playing out there. We have been vulnerable at the back at times, as we have had a new back line almost. Aaron [Hughes] being out was a big miss and now we have Konch and Bocanegra suspended so we have two young full-backs. It's a good test for them and the team as a whole. We are not complete yet as a team and we do need one or two more players to add to it, but this team I am sure will take the Club on."
