Sanchez admits Fulham pressure has told

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez admits the job can sometimes be a grind after their victory over Reading.

Sanchez basked in the glow of only a second Barclays Premier League win this season but had every sympathy for Reading rival Steve Coppell's assertion that football management is "not an enjoyable job."

Sanchez said: "I understand what he's saying but the job does have its rewards... sometimes.

"It is a strange one, because when you win it is a relief more than anything and you can't get carried away with euphoria.

"It's a good feeling after you win and you get the decisions right but you have to be realistic.

"Outside the top six, we have the same sort of capacity (to do well) as Reading and, yes, to beat them is a big thing and not just because Reading is my home town.

"They were only a point off a UEFA Cup place last season but they are one of the teams in our bracket.

"We've now had three games in a row like that but only drew with Derby and at Sunderland. So we needed to win this one."
