San Marino manager Pierangelo Manzaroli says his side will look to avoid a heavy defeat against England on Thursday night.
La Serenissima take on the Three Lions at Wembley in Group E of Euro2016 qualifying and Manzaroli is already looking at limiting the damage of Roy Hodgson's side.
England are expected to produce a comfortable victory over San Marino following 8-0 and 5-0 wins in the past two years and although the boss of the European minnows is looking for some sort of improvement from his side this time around, he is well aware just how difficult it will be.
"It will have to be a big effort," Manzaroli said.
"Playing England is different for us because more often than not it is a matter of damage limitation.
"But we don't rule anything out - you never know when the chance will arrive to get a result. It's going to be a difficult match and the main objective will be to come away without a heavy defeat.
"We also want to try to show what we can do and try to keep the match even for as long as possible."
San Marino lost their first qualifier 2-0 at home to Lithuania last month while England defeated Switzerland 2-0 away in their first outing.
