San Jose Earthquakes are on the verge of a major coup with the signing of Eduardo Adelino da Silva imminent.

The 30-year old winger is expected to begin training with the Quakes this week as their pre-season camp kicks off and although a deal is not yet official, it looks as though it is just a matter of time.

Eduardo most recently played with Swiss Super League club FC Basel but did not have his contract renewed when a change of manager occurred in June last year.

Prior to that, Eduardo spent time with French outfit Toulouse and Belgian club RSC Charleroi after beginning his career with Brazilian giants Vasco da Gama.
