San Jose Earthquakes have revealed that they have sold out both club seats and premium seats in luxury suites at their new stadium.
The Quakes are preparing to move into their brand new venue in San Jose which is located to the west of Norman Y. Mineta International Airport and the place is already awash with public popularity according to president Dave Kaval.
"The response from fans for season tickets at our new stadium has been tremendous," said Kaval.
"Soccer has never been more popular in the Bay Area and you can sense that excitement as we continue to move forward with the construction of our new stadium."
A club statement read: 'The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that all luxury suites and club seats for their new stadium are sold out.
'Additionally, the first 15 rows in all sections along the sideline as well as midline seating behind team benches are also sold out.
'Season tickets for the new stadium went on sale without restrictions to the general public on May 1.
'Ever since, the Earthquakes have filled many of their premium seating options for their new venue, which is slated to open in 2015.
'Elsewhere in the stadium, less than 75 seats remain available in the Premier Midline section and fewer than 300 remain in the Premier Midfield section.'
In addition to the stadium news, the Earthquakes have also confirmed that they will be the first professional sporting club to accept virtual currency peer-to-peer payment system 'Bitcoins' as payment for match tickets as well as food and drink at their new venue.
"In the spirit of Silicon Valley, the Earthquakes are constantly looking for ways to innovate," Kaval added.
