San Jose Earthquakes president Dave Kaval has revealed that the club is on the hunt for another Designated Player.
The Quakes currently have striker and captain Chris Wondolowski and Argentine midfielder Matias Perez Garcia as their marquee man but Kaval insists work is going into bringing a third quality name to the Avaya Stadium this off-season.
"We've had numerous trips, internationally, to source and look at potential options," Kaval said after the announcement of a new stadium name on Wednesday.
"We have to find the right player at the right time, but we fully expect to be maxing out our DP spots.
"That's something that the fans should understand. And all of that is connected to this stadium, to these types of partnerships and everything that we're doing on the commercial side of the business."
