San Jose Earthquakes president Kaval to give draft insight via Google Glasses

Official release from San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes president Dave Kaval is taking insider access at the 2014 MLS SuperDraft to another level with Google Glass. Kaval will provide behind-the-scenes footage through his Twitter account @QuakesPrez as the Earthquakes navigate through the first two rounds of Thursday's event in Philadelphia.

Kaval will provide images and videos from the club's draft table as well as behind the curtains after San Jose's selections have been made. He will also give fans a glance at the overall experience of Major League Soccer's league meetings on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

The Earthquakes hold the No. 9 overall pick in Thursday's SuperDraft. San Jose also holds their natural second-round selection at No. 28 overall. ESPN News and MLSsoccer.com will carry live coverage from the event starting at 9 a.m. PT.

Kaval has been at the forefront of a number of innovative ideas since his arrival in San Jose in 2010. He partnered with yorder ahead of the 2011 season, allowing fans to order concessions from their seat using a mobile phone app.

Kaval and the Earthquakes also set a Guinness World Record for the largest participatory groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 21, 2012 as the club broke ground on their new stadium on Coleman Ave. in San Jose. He also regularly interacts with fans using his Twitter account as well as Vine, Tumblr and regularly scheduled public office hours on Tuesdays.
