San Jose Earthquakes beat Birmingham City reserves

MLS club San Jose Earthquakes have defeated a Birmingham City reserves outfit 4-0 in a pre-season exhibition match.

The 'Quakes dominated the Blues at the English club's training ground with Steven Lenhart scoring twice for the visitors who are currently preparing for the upcoming 2011 MLS season.

Chris Wondolowski and Joey Gjersten were also on the scoresheet as Frank Yallop's men tuned up nicely for Wednesday's clash with League One side Colchester United at Spurs Lodge.

The Birmingham line-up had a little bit of American flavor with 23-year old midfielder Alejandro Bedoya playing a full 90 for the West Midlands club on trial from Swedish outfit Orebro.
