Sampdoria striker Vincenzo Montella has suffered a new injury setback.
The 33 year-old will be out of action for at least two months as he awaits knee surgery.
Montella arrived on a season loan from Roma in the summer after falling out of Luciano Spalletti's plans and struggling at Fulham last term.
