Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano has lashed out at his former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello.

Asked about the England manager, who has praised Cassano for his form this season, the striker said: "If he said good things about me, it's because I'm doing well. I have never said anything serious against him, only what I think.

"I'd be happy not to see him.

"If there was an England v Italy game, I'd be sick."

Cassano, who wants to sign for Samp permanently, added: "I love the people of Sampdoria so much. I'd be happy to cut my salary by 15-20 per cent."
