Sampdoria striker Maxi Lopez is disappointed he was unable to stay at AC Milan.

Maxi spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Milan from Catania, which have since sent him to Samp.

"I had wanted to stay at Milan because I settled in straight away and made friends with all the lads," he told Mediaset Premium.

"The Rossoneri family gave me such a warm welcome and it was important for me to remain. Unfortunately, that did not happen."
