Sampdoria skipper Palombo slams Palladino over Genoa celebrations

Sampdoria captain Angelo Palombo blasted Genoa midfielder Raffaele Palladino over his goal celebrations in their derby win on Saturday.

When he scored the third goal in last night's 3-0 victory, striker Palladino celebrated by putting his hand to his ear and running across the Blucerchiati end.

"Raffaele is a good lad and we worked together in the Nazionale, but at that moment he lacked respect not just for our fans, but also for the players," slammed Palombo.

"You need to have style even when winning. In a derby if we had won 3-0, I never would've run under the Curva Nord to celebrate in front of the Genoa fans."

But Palladino insists: "I also celebrated by putting my hand to my ear when I scored against Siena and it was pure coincidence that in this case I was already under the Samp end."
