Sampdoria have expressed interest in Parma striker Domenico Morfeo.

The 31 year-old is the subject of a £3.5 million offer from Greek giants Olympiakos and that has kicked new Samp coach Walter Mazzarri into action.

Samp are willing to discuss a co-ownership deal with Parma for Morfeo and hope an offer of £1.4 million will convince them to keep the striker in Italy next season.
