Sampdoria know they risk losing on-loan Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano at the end of this season.
Samp have the option of signing Cassano permanently for £3.75 million in June, but their wage ceiling simply cannot cover the wage demands of Cassano, who has revived his career in Genoa this season.
