Sampdoria returned to the winners circle with a 3-1 home win over Lazio in Serie A action overnight. Goals to Gennaro Delvecchio, Antonio Cassano and Marius Stankevicius gave the home side a crucial win, whilst Rocchi was on target for the visitors.
Lazio have now conceded seven goals in four days following the weekend 4-1 loss to Cagliari.
