Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone has welcomed the arrival of Manchester United striker Kiko Macheda.
Macheda has signed with Samp on-loan for the next five months.
Garrone says the youngster arrives as a replacement for new AC Milan signing Antonio Cassano.
"He will fill the void left by Cassano very easily, surely he will do well," said Garrone. "In these five months we will treat him well.
"With him here, my enthusiasm has increased by 10 times."
