“He is 95 per cent likely to remain at Samp,” confessed the patron, who nonetheless suggests a move to Juve or Inter might not be best for his career.

“Considering his temperament, he does better in teams where there isn’t competition for places. He has a personality that would make it difficult for him in a big club.

“I am also reading in the newspapers that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could stay at Inter, so Cassano will therefore remain with us.”
