Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero admits they're keen on Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

Zouma is wanted by the Genoa-based side on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent switch.

But Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already insisted the 20-year-old Frenchman - who joined last year from St Etienne in a £12million deal - is a big part of his plans.

Ferrero said: "We are trying with this operation because he is a footballer that can be good for us."
