Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira has assured Arsenal fans his move is on track.
The Uruguayan midfielder has been linked with £26.4million move to north London from Serie A side Sampdoria.
Indeed, Samp's president Massimo Ferrero appeared to confirm a deal is already in place earlier this week, admitting to TMW: “Torreira has left for €30million. I bought him from Pescara when no-one believed [in his ability]. We bet and we won, paying just €3million. The money that comes in is used to keep the club going."
And the 22-year-old, currently representing his country at the World Cup in Russia, has dropped another suggestion that a move to the Emirates Stadium is imminent.
Torreira yesterday liked a post on Instagram of a picture of himself with a friend with the caption ending '#Arsenal'.
