Sampdoria keeper Castellazzi making comeback tonight after five months out

Sampdoria goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi is set to make his comeback tonight against UEFA Cup rivals FBK Kaunas.

Castellazzi has been sidelined for the last five months but is fit and ready to take the gloves in the UEFA Cup outing in Lithuania.

"It's the first game after five months out of action and there has been so much work and so many sacrifices to recover," Castellazzi enthused.

"I am ready and have been available for the last two or three weeks. It was a serious injury but everything has gone well and the problems are behind me now.

"I really want to be out there and I want to thank the club for the faith they have always shown in me, as shown by the fact they have extended my contract until 2010."
