Sampdoria are closing on Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.

Italian transfer expert Alfred Pedulla reports Juve officials have met with Samp about a loan deal for Rugani.

Juve have no intention of selling the youngster and actually initiated yesterday's talks with Samp.

Samp have asked Juve about an 18 month loan, but would be willing to take Rugani on for six months from January.

The defender has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United in recent weeks.
