Sampdoria have announced talks with Rafa Benitez are now over.

The Serie A new-boys won't be making the ex-Liverpool manager their new coach.

A statement read: "Following the meeting held in London over the last few days and the consequent discussions between U.C. Sampdoria and Rafa Benitez, it is with reciprocal disappointment that the club and Spanish Coach have decided the time is not yet right for a collaboration."
