Manchester City have made a move for Sampdoria firebrand Antonio Cassano. Tuttomercatoweb says City, through Italian agent Beppe Bozzo, has sounded out Samp about a price for Cassano. Bozzo is already in Italy working for City in talks for Roma fullback Marco Motta.
Cassano was axed by Samp's squad on the weekend after a training ground bust-up with coach Gigi del Neri.
Samp have told Bozzo they're ready to do business, but want to find a replacement first before selling Cassano. The negotiations could run until the final minutes of the winter market next Monday.
Cassano would arrive at Eastlands as replacement for Santos-bound Robinho.
