Sampdoria are battling to keep hold of fullback Reto Ziegler.
After a difficult spell at Tottenham, Switzerland international Ziegler has rebuilt his career in Genoa at Samp.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is a big admirer of Ziegler and with less than a year to run on his Samp deal has the fullback on his shopping list.
Samp are aware of Mancini's interest and are actively attempting to open new contract talks with Ziegler's minders.
