Sampdoria defender Shokdran Mustafi is pinching himself over his World Cup call for Germany.
The former Everton junior is part of the provisional squad.
"I've achieved most of what I wanted to this season," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I've earned a starting spot for Sampdoria and I've been named for the national team.
"To play at a World Cup would be something really special for me. It would be extraordinary.
"A few years ago I was watching all the games on television - now I could be going. It's a dream."
