Sampdoria defender Daniele Gastaldello hopes fans do not boo Inter Milan striker Antonio Cassano upon his return this week.
The vice-captain has insisted that he remembers Cassano fondly.
"Antonio gave so much to Sampdoria," he told Sky Sport Italia. "Even if he did make a few mistakes.
"The most beautiful memory was when we qualified for the Champions League having reached fourth place.
"That will be a lasting memory for everyone.
"The worst memory though was when he argued with the President.
"If he's booed [by the home fans] then it is out of fear because he is such a strong player."
