Sampdoria are on the verge of securing the signature of Samuel Eto'o according to reports.
The Italian outfit have been heavily linked with the Everton striker recently and it is believed that they will complete the transfer this week.
Sampdoria's sporting director Carlo Osti indicated to Italian TV station Telenord that the former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea forward would make the move in the next day or two.
"Eto'o should be here in Genoa on Tuesday," said Osti.
It is believed that 33-year old Eto'o, who only joined the Toffees in the summer, has agreed to a 40% decrease in wages to return to Serie A football.
