Sampdoria coach Walter Mazzarri insists he's in the dark over speculation linking him with Roma.

"The talk of having me on the Giallorossi bench from next season is news to me," said the Sampdoria tactician on ForzaRoma.info.

"At this moment in time I am extremely concentrated on Samp. A very tricky end of the season awaits us, starting from the Genoa derby and a prestigious Coppa Italia Final against Lazio, so any type of talk about my future is premature.

"Having said that, at the end of the campaign we will certainly sit around a table and see where we are, evaluating the various options and choosing the best one."
