Sampdoria coach Walter Mazzarri says on-loan Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano is nearing his debut.

Cassano is recovering from a thigh strain and Mazzarri said: "Antonio is working well, he deserves our praise. He's still some way away from playing, but if he continues to train like he is now, he will continue on the right road."
