Ciro Ferrara is confident over his job at Sampdoria, despite defeat to Atalanta.

Samp management confirmed Ferrara at the final whistle.

"I believe that I have a group of professionals in my squad," he told Mediaset Premium. "Real men emerge from these situations. We went behind after only a few minutes and had some problems in the first half.

"There was a good reaction after the break and after Atalanta took the lead again we had another two or three scoring opportunities.

"Where can we improve? In the attack, as we have to make sure our strikers have a lot more movement off the ball. We need to give few reference points to our opponents."
