Sampdoria coach Del Neri denies Cassano scuffle

Sampdoria coach Gigi del Neri denies there was any "scuffle" with Antonio Cassano last month.

Cassano hasn't played for the past three games after clashing with Del Neri in training.

Before yesterday's victory over Siena, Del Neri said: "You say that there has been a scuffle, but something like this never happened. My decision was only one of a technical nature.

“Anyway it will soon be possible for him to return to the group. The player is a symbol of this club."
