Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero claims he is set to sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea.

The 20-year old only joined the Premier League champions from Saint-Etienne last summer but Ferrero has revealed that he has a deal in place for the Frenchman.

"I'm close to signing Zouma. And I'll have also another surprise," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Zouma was named Chelsea's Young Player of the Year after an impressive season operating mainly as a defensive midfielder.
