Sampdoria chiefs will meet with Real Madrid in a fortnight's time in order to settle the permanent signing of on-loan striker Antonio Cassano.
Samp are prepared to meet Real's £3.75 million asking price for Cassano and will also deal in the striker with a £2 million-a-year contract. Cassano is happy with the terms, despite the drop from his current £2.6 million Real salary.
Controcampo says Samp's board accepts they cannot afford to hold onto Cassano long-term and instead are planning for another season with the forward before selling him onto a bigger club for a handsome profit.
