Sampdoria chief Pasquale Sensibile says their talks with former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez were positive.

Nothing was agreed, says Sensibile, but Samp were encouraged after last night's meeting.

"Benitez? Ours is a thought, a dream, and to see if we can find a road to reality. Today there was an exchange of ideas and opinions, on what was in Sampdoria's mind, a very easy way to approach football, nothing earth-shattering.

"We found that the coach's ideas are very similar to ours and so we are moderately optimistic. A number of ideas are more or not aligned, but as we know it is not easy to translate this into practice."
