Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta was spotted at Inter Milan HQ yesterday. "I am here just on business," said Marotta, after meeting with Inter vice-president Rinaldo Ghelfi.
Samp are keen on Inter winger Amantino Mancini, who is regarded as the Blucerchiato's new No1 target this summer. However, Inter are also keen on Samp striker Antonio Cassano.
Cassano is a favourite of Inter president Massimo Moratti and a swap deal could be proposed.
Inter would be willing to offer £6 million plus Mancini, also wanted by West Ham, in exchange for Cassano. David Suazo could also be added to the deal.
