Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta has shutdown rumours linking him with a move to Napoli.

Marotta said: "I do not think I can go to Naples for two reasons.

"First, because the club already has a director as talented and competent as Pierpaolo Marino. Secondly, because am I happy in Genoa, and the club best understands me."
