Sammy Ameobi has hailed the impact of Newcastle United summer signing Sylvain Marveaux.

Marveaux struck twice for Toon's second-string in victory over Bolton Wanderers.

Ameobi told the Evening Chronicle: "It's great to be working with the top players like him.

"He took his goals very nicely, the first one was a great finish and the second was well taken."
