Former Bayern Munich chief Matthias Sammer has questioned their deal for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.

The Colombia international has joined Bayern on a two-year loan deal, though Sammer has his concerns.

"There's certain limitations for where he can play," explained Sammer.

"He cannot play on the wings, he lacks speed."

However, Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti insists: "We will find a good position for him, he can play in any position, either right, left or centre, he has no difficulty playing in any position, we will see, we have enough time to know what position he will play."
